Statement of Faith

I BELIEVE.

I believe that the Bible is God’s Word, divinely inspired, unfailing, all-powerful, and entirely trustworthy.

I believe that God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. I believe He came into this earth as both God and man. That he was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. That He died on a cross for our sins, and was raised from the dead on the third day. I believe that He ascended into Heaven to the right hand of God our Father, where He now heads the church and intercedes for all believers. I believe that He will physically and visibly return to set up His millenial kingdom.

I believe that in His death and shedding of His blood, the Lord Jesus Christ become a perfect atonement for sin, therefore redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. I believe that all are saved and justified on this simple, single foundation. I believe that salvation can not be earned through good works or effort. I believe that salvation is purely a gift from God.

I believe that a true believer is eternally secure, unable to lose their salvation, yet sinful in nature until Christ’s return. I believe that sin can disrupt the joy of being in relationship with God and invite His loving discipline. I believe that anyone who receives Jesus Christ into their lives become joint heirs with Him. I believe that at rapture, the day Jesus comes for His church, their bodies will be raised up with Him, sharing in His glory, and dwelling forever in divine presence.

I believe that it should be the desire and goal of every Christian to become a strong disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit. I believe that the Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us, sealing all believers at the moment of salvation. I believe that believers must seek the fullness of the Spirit since it is His influence that will bring about victorious Christian living on earth. I believe that every true Christian is to be a dynamic part of a local church since this is God’s primary context for spiritual development and community impact.

Amen.

A glimpse of the sky from our front yard—doesn’t it look like a swirl of cotton candy? The same God who created this beauty created you. You’re wonderfully made and deeply loved. 🩷
For a while, the phrase “Trust God’s timing” For a while, the phrase “Trust God’s timing” felt more like a sting than a comfort. Honestly? Sometimes it still does. I want to trust Him—but it’s hard when I don’t know when or how He’ll answer.

But here’s what I’m learning:
Trusting God’s timing isn’t about passively waiting for what I prayed for—
It’s about actively trusting who He is in the waiting.
It’s realizing that delay doesn’t mean denial, and mystery doesn’t mean absence.
It’s surrendering my timeline for His wisdom.

He sees the full picture. I don’t.
And even when I don’t understand the timing, I can still choose to trust the heart of the One who does.

With love,
Shamiya 🤍

This morning, the Holy Spirit checked me—and I n This morning, the Holy Spirit checked me—and I needed it.

It’s so easy to thank God out of habit and miss the weight of what He’s actually done for us.

Provision. Protection. Peace. The list goes on!

We can’t afford to take any of it for granted. Are you truly recognizing your blessings, or just going through the motions?

Take time today to really reflect on His faithfulness.
He’s been better than we realize! 💛

With love,

Okay friend — you and I have a decision to make Okay friend — you and I have a decision to make today. We need to decide where our hope is going to be. We can anchor our hope in our emotions—those highs and lows that change by the second. We can place it in this economy, in trends, in titles, or even in people—but we’ve seen how unstable that can be. People aren’t perfect, and they will let you down.

Or…

We can place our hope in the One who never changes. The One who loves us deeply, never fails, and is always firm and secure. That’s Jesus.

This hope we have in Him isn’t based on circumstances; it’s based on His character! He’s already gone behind the curtain—into the very presence of God on our behalf. He made a way for us to be anchored, steady, and unshaken, even in the midst of life’s biggest storms.

So ask yourself — Where have I been placing my hope? Is it in something that changes—or Someone who doesn’t?

With love,
Shamiya
